Farm to Family
Do you know where your food comes from and how it’s grown? In today’s environment of busy lives and quick meals, many families are disconnected from their food sources. The ‘Farm to Table’ movement is a growing trend that aims to reconnect families with the sources of their food. Through this initiative, local farmers provide fresh foods directly to consumers at farmer’s markets, Food Co-Ops and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes. This shift has increased access to healthy, locally grown foods while connecting communities with their growers.
Smith’s Farm is a great example of the ‘Farm to Table’ movement in action. Smith’s Farm offers direct sales of broccoli and cauliflower at our cooling and storage facilities. This allows consumers to purchase fresh produce directly from the farm and pick it up right in their local community. Not only does this make it easier for families to access healthy, locally-grown produce, but it also provides a direct connection between farmers and consumers, helping build strong relationships within the community.
At Smith’s Farm, we are proud to offer our customers the freshest and most delicious produce. Locals love not only our broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuce – but also the small lots of squash, corn, and other products that we plant for trials. We also practice sustainable farming techniques, such as crop rotation and soil conservation, which help us ensure that our products are of the highest quality.
At Smith’s Farm, we know that fresh ingredients should be celebrated with delicious recipes that make healthy food. Whether you are looking for a quick weeknight dinner, cooking tips, or a special weekend meal, our farm-fresh produce can be the star of your dish. Try our roasted broccoli and cauliflower with garlic and lemon, or fried buffalo cauliflower – both delicious ways to enjoy the flavors.
Smith’s Farm is dedicated to investing in and supporting our local community. We are passionate about providing access to healthy, locally-grown foods and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. To that end, we sponsor youth sports programs, support community projects, and provide agricultural education at schools and fairs. We believe that by investing in our community, we can help build strong, vibrant communities where everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food.
