Oven Roasted Broccoli


  • Florets from 1 bunch of broccoli, cut into pieces
  • 2-3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, smashed and diced
  • 1 tablespoon slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (OR fresh lemon juice for non-dairy or low calorie option)



Preheat the oven to 400F

In a small bowl mix the oil, garlic, almonds, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper

Place the broccoli mix in a Ziplock bag, add the oil mixture and shake until the broccoli is evenly coated

Place in the over for 10-15 minutes (add 5-10 minutes if you prefer softer broccoli)

Check frequently- the broccoli should caramelize but not burn

When done baking to your preference, remove from the oven and top with parmesan cheese or lemon juice
